The Cache County School District will present its 3rd annual <a href=”https://www.facebook.com/events/1437518376560954/”>Celebration of the Arts</a> on Friday, April 21, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Ridgeline High School, located at 180 N. 300 W. in Millville.
District Arts Coordinator Aurora Villa said she’s excited about the event, which will feature the artwork of more than 500 K-12 students, along with 25-plus live music, theater and dance performances.
“And then we have numerous elementary schools that will be coming to do some singing and music performances,” she said, “and we have one event that I’m really excited about where we have four different elementary schools coming together to do a special drumming piece with these drums that we were able to purchase with a grant that we received, so they’re all coming together to do one song.”
Villa said the performances scheduled throughout the evening will take place in Ridgeline High School’s main commons area, the auditorium and the choir and drama rooms. She said the <a href=”http://www.cachecountyarts.com/art-in-transit.html”>Art in Transit</a> program will also be featured, combining student artwork and public transportation to beautify the community.
“Those attending should park in the north end parking lot and enter through the north entrance,” she said. “Just look for the Art in Transit bus.”
Villa said it’s exciting to learn about all the wonderful art programs taking place throughout the Cache County School District. More information about the Celebration of the Arts is available on <a href=”https://www.facebook.com/events/1437518376560954/”>Facebook</a>.
