The Cache Valley Center for the Arts (CVCA) will host its spring 2017 Gallery Walk on Friday, April 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The family-friendly event features both amateur and professional local artists, whose work is displayed in the storefronts and historic buildings of downtown Logan.
CVCA Marketing Director Jenn Waterhouse said the Gallery Walk is held four times each year. This time, participants will have the opportunity to visit 14 local businesses, each transformed into an art gallery featuring a wealth of Cache Valley talent. Refreshments will be available at some locations.
“[There’s] an audio exhibit, where you go in and there’s artwork done specifically with sound,” Waterhouse said. “One of our local museums will have an art truck that’s going to be right around Café Ibis. There are several incredible photography exhibits. There’s some watercolor that ranges from the very abstract to these beautiful flower still-lifes, so there’s a little something for everyone. And the best part about it, of course, is that it is free.”
The Cache Valley Center for the Arts has also scheduled Gallery Walks on July 14, October 6, and December 8. More information is available at http://cachearts.org/gallerywalk.
