Logan woman dies in auto pedestrian accident

LOGAN — Police are continuing to investigate the death of a 26-year-old woman, who was hit and killed Sunday night along 200 N.

Logan City Police Chief Gary Jensen said the woman was reportedly walking down the middle of the road, when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound.

The accident occurred around 9:45 p.m. west of LW’s Truck Stop.

The driver of the vehicle was travelling along 1000 W and just turned onto 200 N, driving west. He told investigators that he didn’t see the woman, walking in the middle of the roadway, until he hit her.

Jensen said the woman is from the area. Police are not releasing her identity pending notification of her family.

Investigators believe the woman had been in a domestic dispute just prior to the accident.
