Old Rock Church to host Valentine’s Day dinner and magic show

Magician Richard Hatch will perform during a Valentine's Day dinner at the Old Rock Church in Providence.

A magical evening of dining and magic will take place on Valentine’s Day at the Old Rock Church in Providence. The historic building, located at 10 S. Main, will be transformed into a dinner theater, featuring fine dining by Iron Gate Catering followed by a magic show by deceptionist Richard Hatch.

“The event starts at 7:00,” said Hatch, “and I’ll be there before 7:00 to greet people as they come and do what magicians call ‘close-up magic,’ so it’s not a formal show for the whole group. It’s a small, intimate performance where the magic actually often happens in the spectator’s hands, maybe with something I borrowed from them like a finger ring, just to meet them as they arrive and get settled in.”

After dinner, Hatch will provide a formal magic performance that provides some attendees with an opportunity to participate.

Reservations are required because seating is limited. For more information, call (435) 752-3432 or visit www.oldrockchurch.com.
