LOGAN – Not only did the city end the year in good financial condition, but Mayor Craig Petersen said there were many important projects started or completed during the year. One of those is the new Canyon Connector Trail, which came about from a three-way partnership between the city, the Utah Department of Transportation and Utah State University.
“The design is now complete and that will be constructed in 2017,” he said. “The university did part of this on their own, but this will take us from 1200 East all the way down to First Dam. In particular it will take a very dangerous section going down the hill and make it safe for bike and pedestrian traffic.”
He said a new pickleball complex in the Bridger Park area is expected to be completed by June, and the new Countryside Village Park is expected to be finished sometime during the year.
