LOGAN — An eight-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon, after being hit by a truck, while crossing the street with his mother.
Logan City Police Capt. Tyson Budge said the boy was inside the crosswalk at 1000 N. 200 W., when the vehicle struck him.
The driver of the truck told officers they never saw the boy in the crosswalk.
Paramedics were called to the accident and transported the boy to the hospital by ambulance. He reportedly suffered a possible broken leg and injury to his head.
Officers cited the driver for failing to yield to a pedestrian inside a crosswalk.
