CAPSA asking for community help to Stuff the Truck

Aluminum foil, toiletries, cleaning supplies…those are just samples of what you might bring when CAPSA teams up with Smith’s Marketplace at the annual Stuff the Truck event on Saturday, November 5th.

CAPSA stands for Citizens Against Physical and Sexual Abuse and Development Director James Boyd says the event will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. He says abuse victims in shelters provided by CAPSA often don’t have items needed from day to day.

“We’re asking for the things to come in, to either bring supplies that day and drop them off or go ahead and purchase them at Smith’s Marketplace and bring them out for CAPSA,” says Boyd. “This is a great way to support CAPSA and to help us be able to take money we would spend on these items and use it in other areas.”

Boyd says those willing to donate or purchase some of the needed items can just bring them to Smith’s Marketplace at 700 North Main. He says it will help bring hope to people who need it.
