Trick-or-treaters encouraged to visit downtown Logan

Monday is Halloween and that is the day the 13th annual Logan Downtown Halloween Treat Walk will be held.

Logan Downtown Alliance Director Gary Saxton encourages parents to get the children dressed up as ghosts, goblins, and ghouls and enjoy a fun celebration of trick-or-treating during the annual treat walk in downtown Logan on Halloween day.

Saxton says many of the the establishments will open their doors and welcome costumed trick-or-treaters throughout the holiday.

“What you need to look for,” says Saxton, “when you’re coming downtown, for those businesses that are participating, is a Frankenstein poster that will be in the door or window of those establishments. Then you’ll know that they’re participating.”

Saxton says it is an annual tradition that dozens of downtown businesses participate in and is ideal for young families.

“That’s a fun event downtown. It’s nice and safe for moms and dads and children to take their kids out for a nice time downtown, collecting treats from the stores.”

Saxton says businesses will be open and offering trreates between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. He says there is plenty of free parking throughout downtown Logan. Businesses participating are between 200 North and 100 South along Main Street, and along Center Street and 100 North between 100 West and 100 East.
