LOGAN – For the growing number of Latinos in Cache Valley, this election is very important. According to Danny Beuss, chairman of the Cache County Democratic Party’s Latino Council, that is because they do not Donald Trump to be the next president. Beuss said a record number of local Latinos have registered to vote.
“As a voting block they hold a lot of say,” he said. “Donald Trump is doing very poorly, still, with Latinos. That’s no surprise. So I think if the Latino population comes out to vote, and they come out to vote for Hillary (Clinton), Hillary won’t have a problem winning.”
Beuss said they have feelings of fear about Trump because he has talked about deportations and about building a wall that would possibly keep some of their own families out of the country.
