The two-day Utah State Chamber of Commerce Conference was held in Logan last week. Because Cache Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Sandy Emile is also president of the state organization, she was in charge of the event.
Emile said it was a real honor to have chamber members from all over the state meet in Logan, something that hadn’t happened for at least 17 years. She said there were some great break-out sessions.
“Our very own Cache Valley Media Group had Les Patterson present on the value of marketing and learning how to tell your story, both as a business leader and as a chamber of commerce,” Emile explains. “Understanding that each one of our chambers represents a very different region, while it is titled the same position your job is a little bit different depending on the area that you represent therefore the businesses that you represent.”
Emile said it is exciting to head the state chamber of commerce and she views it just as she views the local chapter. In her opinion, the role is bringing businesses together, to assist them in their successes whatever they deem those successes to be.
