Cache GOP leaders feeling slightly more confident about a Trump presidency

The chairman of the Cache County Republican Party is feeling better about the prospects of a Donald Trump presidency than he did in the past. He says at least Trump is likely to have good people around him and he can’t say that for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“My personal feelings are, toward Hillary Clinton, that they should be looking at indicting her for misconduct,” says Boyd Pugmire. “They should be indicting her for treason against the United States at this point. She has done things that are treasonous.”

Pugmire says after the national Democratic Party chairman was fired for bad conduct, Hillary has hired her to help with her campaign.

Until the end, Vice Chair Gina Worthen was hoping to see Ted Cruz become the candidate instead of Trump. She says Trump claims to put America first but she feels he puts himself first instead.

“It’s all talk,” Worthen says. “He’s like a snake oil salesman from the 1800’s. I just hope I am totally wrong on that, and I could be totally wrong on that. But that’s what I see and that is why I am so concerned.”

Both Pugmire and Worthen say that they will vote for Trump because they both feel Hillary Clinton would be worse.
