Former Aggie Spencer Butterfield to play for Nanterre in France

LOGAN – After playing with the Utah Jazz’s Summer League team this past month, former Aggie Spencer Butterfield will head to France to play for Nanterre 92, a team that plays in the country’s top league.

Butterfield took to social media to make the announcement Wednesday morning.

“We just signed with team Nanterre in France ProA and are so excited to be playing for this awesome club in the city of Paris,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “We are so grateful for the opportunities and blessings playing basketball has brought us. Can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for us.”

Butterfield averaged 8.8 points and three rebounds in his eight games with the Jazz this summer. Before that, he played in a Lithuanian league for Juventus where he led the team with 14.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. He last played for USU in 2014.
