Cache Republican vice chair shares feelings on Trump

LOGAN – There is nothing Cache County’s Republican Party’s vice chair Gina Worthen said she would rather see than for someone other than Donald Trump come out of the Republican Convention as the party’s presidential candidate. She said she agrees with those who say they do not want to have a standard bearer who doesn’t seem to have a standard.

“A lot of people are really frustrated with the way things are going in America and really feel this fundamental change and I think they see Trump as somebody who can turn those around,” she said. “But unfortunately for me, I see him, honestly, as some sort of a charlatan. He just doesn’t really know what he’s doing, he’s just kind of in this. To me he’s a con man.”

Although Trump continues to claim he will put America first Worthen said she agrees with those who fear that if Trump is elected he will put himself first, not America.

She admitted she sides with Trump when he refers to Hilary Clinton as “Crooked Hillary” and said she would hate to see a Democrat elected.
