A major political event will be taking place in Cache County on Saturday, July 16. Danny Beus says 30 or more people will be canvassing Legislative District 5, the Utah House district located south of Logan.
Beus says the purpose of the canvass is to introduce residents to David Clark who is running for the Utah legislature in District 5 on the Democratic ticket, challenging Republican incumbent Curt Webb.
Beus says the canvass will also be supporting the campaigns of Mike Weinholtz for governor and Misty Snow for U.S. Senate.
“We’re going door-to-door in District 5 to not only get Dave Clark’s message out to people but also those candidates as well,” Beus explains. “Simply put we have better candidates for Governor, Senate and Utah House 5 and we’re excited for voters to get to know these people.”
Beus says those participating will meet at Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum on Saturday at 10 a.m. After the canvass, pizza and drinks will be served.
