Cache County’s Water Conservancy District Working Group has been meeting with members of community councils and boards in an effort to drum up support for a district.

Cache County Executive Craig Buttars told county council members Tuesday that several cities have passed resolutions supporting the project and they include Cornish, Hyrum, Lewiston, Logan, Mendon, Paradise and Wellsville.

“There were three other communities that have had this on their agenda,” Buttars told the council. “They wanted more time to take a look at it. Those are Nibley, North Logan and Richmond. We will be meeting with them. Their next meetings are May 4th, May 5th and May 17th.”

Buttars said the public hearing where the water conservancy district will be initiated has been scheduled for May 24th at 6 p.m.
