USU Extension hosts horse grooming clinic

Utah State University Equine Extension hosts a horse grooming clinic featuring professional groomer Elena Nuila on Saturday, April 30, at the USU Livestock Pavilion.

Participants in this English-themed clinic will learn polished grooming techniques such as braiding, clipping and quarter marks to help their horses look, feel and perform at their best.

“Good grooming demonstrates to judges that the care and well-being of the horse is just as important as the riding and winning in competitions,” Nuila said.

Nuila has groomed professionally around the world at high profile, international horse events.

The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to noon with a free breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m.

Tickets are available for $25 and can be purchased at http://tinyurl.com/USUGrooming.
