Historic Brigham City building demolished

For the second time this year one of Brigham City’s most historic buildings has been torn down. The Baron Woolen Mills was demolished earlier this year after it was burned for a second time by arson.

Demolition of the Merrill Planing Mill Wednesday, December 9th comes seven years after it, too, was destroyed by arson.

According to the Box Elder News Journal, the demolitions resulted from a Brigham City mandate for owners of such buildings to restore them or remove them because they have been deemed public safety threats.
