If you are looking for a place to grow fresh vegetables this season garden plots are available for rent now at the USU Extension Cache Valley Community Gardens.
Helen Muntz, USU Extension horticulture educator for Cache County, said it starts with a visit to the county building on Main Street in Logan, Suite 111.
“You fill out a simple application. The plots are $45, which includes a $15 refundable clean-up deposit. Each plot is 200 square feet.
“They are available for use now. We don’t have water yet. There are two community gardens, one in Hyde Park and one in Nibley.
“Nibley will have water available by mid-April. In Hyde Park we use canal water and that will be available closer to the end of May. But all the plots are ready to go and you can certainly sign up now. If you want to haul your own water in you are welcome to start planting.”
