Paul Nestor Vinck

Paul Nestor Vinck, age 65 passed away on 25 Dec 2014 at his home, in Logan, UT. He was born on 5 Feb 1949 in Norwalk, Connecticut to Nestor T.J. and Cecile Burke Vinck.

After high school he joined the Navy in 1967 and served in Vietnam where his boat captain license was put to good use. His tour was cut short when his feet were badly burned and he received a medical discharge.

Paul developed many skills, among other things he worked as a paramedic, a steelworker, a carpenter, a teaching assistant, a computer expert, a records extractor and indexer and a genealogist. Paul graduated from Lackawanna Junior College and was working towards an MBA at Utah State University in Business and Information Systems when complications from service related injuries cut short his academic career.

Paul joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after reading what would come to be his favorite book: The Book of Mormon.

Paul married Cheryl Cadwell. Together they had three children: Josephine, Paul Jr. and Cherlay Shauna. After they divorced Paul moved to Logan, Utah.

On 19 May 1998 Paul married Martha Ann Turner in the Logan Temple. They spent their honeymoon at a mountain man Rendezvous. Together they enjoyed genealogy, indexing, name extractions, visiting with friends and computer games.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Nestor and Cecile, his older sister Claire, his son Paul Jr. and a grandson Zachary Predmore.

Paul is survived by Martha, his wife of 16 and a half years, daughters Josephine Vinck Predmore and C. Shauna Larmore, younger sisters Leslie Vinck and Sharon Simons and 5 grandchildren.

A visitation will be held in the Spring Hollow Apartment Lounge, 1360 N 200 E, Logan, UT beginning at 11:00 am Saturday January 3, 2015. Paul’s memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at
