No pay increases for Cache County employees for 2015

<span>Because Cache County’s elected officials received a four percent pay increase last year the 2015 budget adopted by the county council </span><span><span>Tuesday</span></span><span> night does not include pay increases for those workers.</span>

<span>However, there was a discussion among council members on whether or not certain adjustments should be made. One involved County Clerk Jill Zollinger who has assumed the role of Auditor as well since the two offices have been combined.</span>

<span>The other office questioned was that of County Assessor Kathleen Howell because what was described as a major workload.</span>

<span>Councilmember Corey Yeates said the compensation committee should take a look at those positions.</span>

<span>”I’m comfortable right now at adopting this report as it is now stated,” Yeates said Tuesday. “But I want to be very clear that we are going to look at this over the next six months.</span>

<span>”Hopefully we’ll have some decisions made and we can move forward and start making some appropriate and significant changes to salary where it’s deemed necessary.”</span>

<span>It was pointed olut that some of the former auditor’s work has gone to other    county departments.</span>
