Health department reminds adults to be current on vaccinations to avoid adult diseases

<span>Many adults believe they are up to date on their vaccinations. Most adults are familiar with a tetanus booster if they step on a nail or are cut by a rusty wire.</span>

<span>However, Jill Parker, communications director for the Bear River Health Department, says many adults are not aware that there are many vaccines available to adults that prevent adult diseases.</span>

<span>In the department’s annual report to the Cache County Council </span><span><span>Tuesday,</span></span><span> Parker listed the recommended adult immunizations available and they include influenza, pneumonia, tetanus, shingles, hepatitis A and B and also measles, mumps and rubella. </span>

<span>She said keeping track of your vaccinations is important to ensure protection against disease.</span>
