Tidings of Comfort and Joy. That’s the theme for the 2014 Logan Tabernacle Christmas Concert Series which opens on Tuesday, December 9 and continues each Tuesday and Friday through December 21, with each concert starting at 7 p.m.
The annual concert series is sponsored by the Logan Tabernacle Concert and Lecture Committee with Gary Poore as chairman. Poore says it’s a great schedule opening Tuesday with the Bear River Valley Reflections, a women’s chorus and then Wednesday, December 10 Sky View High School’s chorus and musicians will present the program.
“Then on the 11th of December, which is a Thursday night, we have Kimberly Maycock and Friends,” Poore continues. “This is a young lady who is actually a professional nurse, but she loves music and she has gotten together a bunch of wonderful musicians who have done some recording.
“One of the fellows is a songwriter and another is an organist from Hungary.”
Poore says the first week of the concert series ends on Friday, December 12 with the popular Imperial Glee Club which has been providing high quality music in the valley for many years. Poore says his committee is part of Cache Community Connections, an inter-faith organization which was formed after the 9-11 terror attacks to help bring people together.
