North Park Police investigating the death of an elderly woman, found Tuesday morning outside a senior living center.

LOGAN — Police have released the name of the 91-year-old elderly woman whose body was found outside an independent senior living center in North Logan.

North Park Police Det. Ulysses Black said Patricia Hugie was found outside the Pioneer Valley Lodge Tuesday morning around 8 a.m. She was reportedly dressed, had her purse and appeared to be going out for a walk.

Black said State Medical Examiners have determined Hugie died of hypothermia after falling outside the center and fracturing her right hip. It is undetermined exactly what time she died.

Hugie was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Monday and it is unsure when she left her residence. Her body was found by a maintenance worker near the southwest corner of the center.

Black said the staff at Pioneer Valley Lodge had done a perimeter check around 8:30 p.m. and didn’t report seeing anything.

Police have ruled her death accidental.
