Concert will benefit Racing for Orphans with Down Syndrome


<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>This weekend Alpha Tau Omega, a new fraternity at Utah State University, will sponsor its third annual Christmas benefit concert, Starry Night, which raises money for a local charity called Racing for Orphans with Down Syndrome.</span></p>

<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>Money raised is used to subsidize the cost of adoption.</span></p>

<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>“We have been working with this organization for a number of years now,” said Mark J. Allred, fundraising director for this event.</span></p>

<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>Allred said an eclectic group of entertainers will come together Friday and Saturday at the USU Caine Performance Hall at USU to perform a number of traditional and modern Christmas numbers.</span></p>

<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>“The past two years the concert has sold out,” said Allred. “And we are expecting this show to sell out as well.”</span></p>

<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>He said the concert is at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday nights and tickets are available online from the Caine Performance Hall or in the Taggart Student Center.</span></p>
