Still time to vote in Cache County, even if ballot got tossed

<span>For the first time Cache County residents are voting by mail this election year and Cache County Clerk Jill Zollinger says she is hopeful that will help bring more voter participation. Zollinger says because it’s the first mail vote some people have been asking questions.</span>

<span>One of the most common is what do you do if you lose your ballot or make a mistake that spoils it. She says you can come to the clerk’s office and a new ballot will be issued.</span>

<span>”It will be a paper ballot here as well as what we’ve sent them in the mail,” Zollinger says. “If they haven’t received a ballot or if they’ve thrown their ballot away or discarded it somehow, or made a mistake on their ballot they can come in here and we’ll help them.</span>

<span>”We’ll help them right now if they come in for those types of things. They don’t have to wait until election day.”</span>

<span>Zollinger says if a voter is unable to come in to her office it can be mailed to them but it’s getting close to the election and the deadline for a postmark is </span><span><span>November 3.</span></span>
