Her doctor believes there are almost 600 people in Cache Valley who are living with Multiple Sclerosis and although Heidi Fitzgerald is one of those people, she is doing all she can to help others with the disease.
Fitzgerald was instrumental in starting an MS support group and she encourages others with MS to come out and share information and get to know others who have similar or different symptoms.
On KVNU’s Crosstalk program Wednesday, Fitzgerald said at several of the meetings a representative has come to discuss available medications.
“We are trying to bring more into the valley to help people in the valley,” Fitzgerald said. “We eventually want to get an MS Walk up here. Right now, the closest one to us is in Ogden. The one in Ogden is this Saturday.”
She said donations are always appreciated because it is only through continued research that a cure be developed for the auto immune disease that attacks the central nervous system.
