You may have watched a Sunday morning television program County Seat which focuses on what is happening in all the different parts of the state of Utah.
County Seat Producer Chad Booth told those attending Tuesday’s Cache County Council meeting that the program is widely distributed and the goal is to let people know what is going on in the counties.
He said among the topics covered so far this year are resource management, grazing on the Escalante Staircase Monument, air quality, prison re-location, Medicaid expansion and water conservancy districts.
“It is not necessarily built on a model where you pay for an episode,” Booth said. “We ask the counties to help support us in producing and distributing the show.
“We have never made it a policy of the program to say, ‘you don’t get on the show or your topics don’t get covered because you are or are not supporting it.’ Right now we have 24 of the 29 counties that support the program.”
Cache is not one of the 24 counties participating so far but Booth said that does not keep the county from being focused on during some of the programs. The cost for participation in County Seat is $40 a month.
