Members of the Logan Municipal Council recently took a bus tour with the city’s Neighborhood Improvement Manager James Geier to get a good look at conditions in Logan neighborhoods.
At Tuesday’s council meeting, the council told Geier they will give him written reports on their observations of the tour. Council Chairman Karl Ward did say he saw a lot of differences between the owner-occupied homes and the non owner-occupied homes in the various areas.
“That’s a marked difference,” Ward explained. “As we continue to try to work toward ways of turning these properties into owner-occupied properties, that is going to be one of the most significant ways of improving than the core neighborhoods.”
Councilmember Jeanie Simmonds said she agreed with other council members who got off the bus and said, “Gee, we need some enforcement.”
