Utah Farm Bureau members will tour water infrastructure systems

The Utah Farm Bureau Federation and Central Utah Water Conservancy District will be conducting a tour of water infrastructure systems in Utah for a discussion on future water development and funding needs for agriculture and projected population growth in Utah.

Utah State legislators and key water decision makers have been invited for the tour. The tour will take place September 4 from 8 a.m. to mid-afternoon.

Farm Bureau President Matt Hargreaves says Utah’s water systems are expansive and complex and in constantly in need of maintenance and repair. He is hoping the tour will convince the entire legislative body in the decisions made regarding water development and funding.

CORRECTION: The Utah Farm Bureau tour is intended for those who received an invitation, and not for the general public.
