Preston man dies in single vehicle accident

LOGAN — A 37-year-old Preston, Idaho man was killed in a single vehicle accident late Monday night.

Idaho State Police (ISP) report Randy Hadley Jr. was driving a 2003 GMC Envoy on Highway 34, north of Preston, near milepost 18.

Investigators said Hadley failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The Envoy went down an embankment, overturned and came to a rest in a field.

Hadley was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

ISP said the crash is believed to have occurred sometime between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police with assistance at the scene by Preston City Police Department, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, and the Franklin County Fire Department.
