The Cache County Fair 2014 edition opens Thursday and continues through Saturday with a rodeo starting at 8 p.m. each evening.
Rodeo Chairman Lamont Poulsen said pre-rodeo events begin at 7:30. He said Thursday once again is Family Night with reduced prices.
He said there are more sponsors this year, the purse has been raised and there’s more to be excited about.
“We’ve got top cowboys, cowgirls from around the country, world champions,” Poulsen explained on KVNU’s Crosstalk program Monday. “Kaycee Feild is going to be here and the Wright boys. It’s a loaded schedule and we’re excited.
“Our bare back riders which in the past has been kind of tough, but this year we filled our bare back riders with 11 or 12 contestants every night.”
Poulsen says the crowds will also like Frankie “Punkintown” Smith, rodeo entertainer and comedian who delights people of all ages at more than 100 rodeo events each year.
