Music and dancing will fill Church Street Saturday night

Caffe Ibis is hosting its seventh annual Street Dance Saturday, July 12 and music manager Hilary Murray said once again it will take place outside in the blocked-off streets from 7 to 10 p.m.

Murray said the street dance will feature music by the Shipwreckers and Juniper Junction on the closed off Church Street. On KVNU’s Crosstalk program Thursday, she said this year the street dance is a fundraiser for Four Paws Rescue.

“There always has been a lot of support through the community,” said Murray. “The street is always jam packed with fun-loving people who love to dance, get out and enjoy great music.

“But one thing that is really great in the past couple years we have been able to raise money on top of our fun event. So it’s just double-edged goodness.”

Murray said there will be a silent auction featuring local services and goods and there will also be donation jars. All of the proceeds will go to help Four Paws Rescue pay for animal food and medical bills. Shannon Syrstad of Four Paws Rescue said the contributions are greatly appreciated.

The street dance is free and everyone is invited to attend. For additional details, <a href=”https://www.facebook.com/171224636234864/photos/gm.340186076132062/816381798385808/?type=1&amp;theater” target=”_blank”>click here</a>.
