Tickets are going fast for the REO Speed Wagon concert to be performed on the 4th of July at the Cache County Fairgrounds. The concert is produced by the Cache Valley Cruising Association and comes mid-way through its annual three-day car show.
Association President John Rutledge says the Cache Valley Cruise-In is the biggest car show of its kind in Utah. He says tickets for the concert are available at Macey’s, Chic-fil-A and on the website at cachevalleycruisein.net. He says REO Speedwagon is a band that everyone will enjoy.
“They’re an ’80s group. I think most of the time you have the older generation know who they are,” Rutledge says. “The younger generation know who they are and the ones in the middle know. So that’s good. They’re kind of like the Beach Boys, you know, because you can sing along with their songs and stuff like that.”
Hundreds of cars of all types, including street rods, street machines, customs and restored vehicles are expected here for the Cruise-In. The cars will be on display starting Thursday, July 3rd and runs through July 5th with headquarters at the Cache County Fairgrounds.
Rutledge says the drawing for this year’s giveaway car is Saturday at 6 p.m. and that will be followed by the popular Cruise-In parade down Logan’s Main Street.
