Deadline approaching for local filmmakers

<span>Cache Valley film makers have until next week to submit their entries for consideration into this year’s Logan Film Festival.</span>

<span>Festival Producer Mason Johnson said <span class=”aBn”><span class=”aQJ”>Thursday, May 15</span></span> is the final day entries will be accepted.</span>

<span>“They can be submitted to <a href=”” target=”_blank”><span></span></a> and it includes an entry fee of $35,” said Johnson. “We are looking for locally produced films, everything from high school-made student films to professional film makers.”</span>

<span>Every genre of film is accepted. The film judged best among Cache Valley film makers will win $1000.</span>

<span>Last year’s film festival was staged in the late spring but this year it has been moved to <span class=”aBn”><span class=”aQJ”>September 25-27</span></span>. Films will be screened at two downtown venues, the Ellen Eccles Theatre and the Dansante Building Theatre.</span>

<span>In addition to the locally produced entries, Johnson said close to 150 films from around the world have already been submitted, including 40 full length feature films. An overall prize will be awarded for films in this category.</span>
