“For the Love of Dance” is the theme for a recital which is the largest fundraiser of the year for an 18-member group trying to revive Utah State University’s dance program.
The dance concert will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Kent Concert Hall of Utah State University’s Chase Fine Arts Center.
Two members of the dance troop, Ginger Hislop and Gracie Paul, appeared on KVNU’s Crosstalk program Monday and talked about the concert which they said will feature nine numbers, all choreographed by the company.
Hislop said the dancers are hoping to raise money that will help bring a dance program back to USU.
“So hopefully we can keep and put our foot in the door and keep growing as a company and keep getting a good reputation. So hopefully, eventually, we’ll be more recognized and be able to get a program.”
Tracie said building the dance program has provided a creative otlet fr talented dancers and the Wednesday concert will reflect the growth of the company
