Aggies Sending Smiles collecting donations for permanent clinic

LOGAN – Aggies Sending Smiles is a humanitarian group aiding children of Guatemala with quality dental care by helping to provide a fully-equipped dental station at an orphanage in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

Spokesperson Alex Daines said the Aggie students are gathering equipment, supplies and shipping cost coverage to help create a permanent clinic.

So where are the dentist-volunteers coming from to get the project started?

“Mostly from the Northern Utah area,” Daines said. “We are partnered with a nonprofit organization named Charity Anywhere. Through them they are providing the dentists and volunteers to go and work in the clinic.”

Daines said donations will be accepted until at least May 1st.
