The Willow Park Zoo is hosting its first annual Easter EGG-stravaganza on Saturday and everyone is invited to attend. On Tuesday, zoo director Troy Cooper invited members of the Cache County Council to come visit with the Easter Bunny, try your hand at sailboat or bunny-hop races, hunt for eggs and watch the zoo’s animals enjoy an Easter treat.
Cooper said the advisory board created a non-profit organization after Logan City stopped providing funding for the zoo.
“We’re making a lot of changes to our exhibits. We’re going to have an aviary. We’re just trying to update things. Our zoo is old and with age things start to fall apart. We’re seeing some of that age come into effect, come into play but we’re doing our best to keep it going.”
