Fire damages North Logan home

Fire crews reporting to North Logan house fire Wednesday morning, February 12, 2014.  The fire reportedly started in the garage and spread to the rest of the home.  Cause of the fire is under investigation.

LOGAN – A fire early Wednesday morning damaged a North Logan home at 1370 East 1980 North.

North Logan Assistant Fire Chief Jason Killinen said the fire was reported at 1:25 a.m.

Killinen said when crews arrived on the scene, heavy flames were coming from the garage. The fire then spread into the main part of the home.

Killinen said the family was able to evacuate the home safely. Fire crews were also able to save three cats from inside the home.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
