It was previously called the Bear Lake Chocolate Festival and the newly-named 8th annual Bear Lake Winter Festival will be held next weekend: February 14-16 at the Garden City Office building.
The event is hosted by the Bear Lake Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Vice President Patrick Floyd said it is a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and President’s Day and hopefully thousands of people will show up.
The event starts with a craft fair Friday from 12 noon to 7 p.m. There will also be handcrafts, food, boutique vendors, and a highlight will be the 2nd annual Parade of Rentals. “It’s not like the Parade of Homes where you need to pay. It is a free event,” Stocking explained. “We do ask people to RSVP if possible so we know what properties they’d like to go see, or what size of properties.
“If they’re looking for big, multi-generation family reunions or just small family reunions we’d like to know that in advance. They can do that on the website for the festival: bearlakefestival.com.”
Floyd said he hopes a lot of people will take part in the festival and remember it is only 45 minutes from Logan.
