<div>LOGAN, Utah – Utah State gymnastics improved to 3-0 Friday after defeating in-state rival BYU, 193.200-192.900 in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.</div><div> </div><div>A large, spirited crowd cheered the Aggies on to their first victory over their in-state rival Cougars since 2009, as USU continues its best start in program history since 1999 when they opened 7-0. </div><div> </div><div>”It was a nail-biter, coming down to the last routines and trying to stay in it. The girls fought their way through the whole meet and came out on top,” said Aggie head coach Nadalie Walsh, who won in her first home meet at the helm of the USU program. “Being 3-0 is just great. Winning is a culture and it’s giving us the confidence we need. The girls are seeing that we don’t need to be perfect to be on top.”</div><div> </div><div>Utah State finished the night scoring a 48.850 on vault, 48.725 on bars, 46.950 on beam and 48.675 on floor for its winning overall score of 193.200.
