Cisco Disco part of Winterfest activities throughout Northern Utah

Winterfest continues Thursday through Saturday and, according to director of the Cache Valley Visitors Bureau Julie Hollist, some of the events extend outside of Cache County.

For example, she says on Saturday there are activities at Bear Lake State Park. Hollist says people really ought to go over for the “Cisco Disco.”

“They have these little fish over there that are called Cisco,” explains Hollist. “They dip them out of holes in the ice with nets and throw them down the frozen ice to people who are grilling the fish right there on the banks of Bear Lake.”

And she says the Bear Lake Monster Polar Plunge will also prove to be a popular event.

Thursday night is the Soup-4-Support and Family Fun at the Riverwoods Conference Center with more than 10 different restaurants as a fundraiser for the Child and Family Support Center.
