27 points not enough from Lewis as Bears fall to Morgan

Bear River and Morgan saw each other twice in the 2012-2013 basketball season. Morgan won the regular season game by one and in their second meeting pulled away late in the 4th quarter to capture the 3A title game.

So with Wednesday night’s game between the two, one would think the Bears would come out with revenge on their mind. Instead, Morgan came out to make a statement and that they did with a convincing 86-67 win.

Parker Lewis was the only bright spot for the Bears scoring 27. With McKay Mitton out with an injury, Cole Fronk sick and Landon Cornwall sitting the bench for the whole second half–reason from Head Coach Chris Hunt was that it was a personal decision–Lewis didn’t get much help.

The Bears will now travel to North Sanpete for a Saturday night game at 6 p.m. North Sanpete is currently 2-7 on the year.
