The Christmas season often brings extra boxes, wrapping paper, and other recyclable items. In order to help accommodate this extra recycling, the Logan City Environmental Department would like to announce that all Cache County residents will receive one extra recycling collection during the holiday season.
From December 26, 2013 to January 7, 2014 all residents will have their recycling collected on their collection day both weeks. After that time, recycling will resume an every other week collection schedule. The 2014 recycling collection schedule calendar is available on our website and will be distributed in the Logan City utility bills and inserted the Herald Journal (as an insert on 1/2/14).
Please keep in mind that bows, ribbons, packing peanuts, bubble mailers, batteries, boxes with plastic windows (please remove the plastic before recycling), foil or metallic materials, old electronics, photo paper, holiday lights, plastic grocery bags, and Styrofoam should NOT be recycled in your blue can. Some of these items may still be recyclable using other means. For more information, please see the Logan City website at www.loganutah.org or call 435-716-9755.
