Rep. Rob Bishop, R-Utah, is attempting to dismantle public education. At least that’s what Donna McAleer believes. McAleer is a Democrat from Park City and has decided to challenge Bishop for the second time as he comes up for reelection next fall.
On KVNU’s Crosstalk program Monday, McAleer said Bishop also shows no support for comprehensive immigration reform.
“We had a delegation of Utah business leaders go to Washington to talk to Representatives Bishop, Chaffetz, Matheson and Stewart to support comprehensive reform. Our economy needs it. Our land and our agriculture and farming, our travel and tourism, our technology sector. We really need this immigration reform.”
She said Rep. Bishop’s focus on border security has been nothing more than “grandstanding.”
