Local businesses offer free services to veterans on Nov. 11

Monday is Veterans Day and some local businesses are offering free services for veterans. Jiffy Lube will be honoring veterans and active duty military people with a free Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil Change at more than 70 different locations.

Veterans and active duty military men and women are invited to visit any Jiffy Lube site in Utah and receive a complimentary oil change.  Proof of military service will be required.

Pizza Pie Café in Logan will also be offering a free meal to active-duty military and veterans on Monday, November 11 starting at 11 a.m. and lasting through 9 p.m. The restaurant is located at 25 East 1400 North in Logan.

Vets will need to show proof of service, which includes a U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, a U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card or appear in uniform to participate. This is the third consecutive year that Pizza Pie Café restaurants have reached out to support military veterans.

“We invite veterans and active duty military to observe the national day of remembrance and come have a meal on us,” said Matt Smith, Founder of Pizza Pie Café.
