LDS singles gathering for regional conference

<span class=”s1″>LOGAN – Events are scheduled at both the Logan LDS Temple and the LDS Institute on the Utah State University campus Thursday through Sunday this week at a <a href=”http://www.cachesingles.org/site/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Cache_Singles_Conference_2013_Brochure.pdf” target=”_blank”>Regional Singles Conference</a> for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>Craig White is one of the event’s co-chairs.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“This conference has been going on for years and we are excited this year to continue that tradition,” said White. “We are expecting between 400-500 singles from the area and from Salt Lake City and into Idaho.”</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>White said online registration in advance of the conference is appreciated, but not required, at <a href=”http://www.cachesingles.org/events/conference/” target=”_blank”>cachesingles.org</a>.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“Anyone can show up at the various events. Thursday night we will meet with Elder Tom Cherrington, one of our area authorities. We will have a devotional before going to the Temple.”</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>Friday Jason Hewlett, a singer and comedian, will perform at the Logan Institute.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>“He was the 2013 ‘Best In State’ award winner for best in entertainment in Utah. He has performed at some of the largest private and company events around the world,” said White.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>Saturday’s keynote speaker is Dr. Jim Davis, Chair of the Management Department in USU’s Huntsman School of Business.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>Saturday includes a variety of workshops and speakers with food catered by the Bluebird Restaurant. A dance that evening will include live music by the Joe Muscolino Band.</span>

<p class=”p2″><span class=”s1″>Speaker at a concluding Sunday evening fireside at the Logan Tabernacle is Elder Don Clarke of the First Quorum of the Seventy.</span>
