USU president speaking to Cache Chamber of Commerce

Utah State University President Stan L. Albrecht will be the guest speaker at the Cache Chamber of Commerce Third Tuesday luncheon on Tuesday, September 17th. The luncheon starts at 12 noon in the Coppermill Restaurant.

Albrecht was named USU’s 15th president in 2005 and before that he was serving as executive vice president and provost at Utah State, a position he had held since 2001. He served as dean of the College of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences from 1998 to 2001.

During his tenure President Albrecht announced a comprehensive fundraising campaign with an official fundraising goal of $200 million. Albrecht says the campaign will take its place among the most significant moments in USU’s history.

“The journey will be transformative in its long-term impact on the university,” he said. Another major initiative under Albrecht’s direction has been to strengthen USU’s branch campuses to reflect a stronger, more cohesive Utah State University system and provide greater access to higher education opportunities.
