One of the 17 applicants for a replacement Logan Municipal Council seat has withdrawn his name from consideration. According to City Recorder Teresa Harris, Dee Jones withdrew because of the time it would take from his employment.

That means 16 applicants will meet Tuesday with the four remaining members of the council who will make the decision. The one appointed will replace Tom Jensen who left the council after less than two years to accept a professional assignment in Jordan.
