Two more candidates apply for open Logan Council seat, including the Mayor’s brother

LOGAN – For anyone wanting to replace Tom Jensen, who   resigned his seat on the Logan Municipal Council after accepting a one-year professional appointment in Jordan, Friday is the last day to apply.

So far five people have filed and there were two new applications on Wednesday: Dee Jones and Craig Watts, brother of Logan Mayor Randy Watts. That brings the total to five, including Marilyn Griffin, Chris Laurence and Paul Rogers.

Anyone interested in the interim appointment should apply with City Recorder Teresa Harris. The four remaining council members will interview  the candidates on Tuesday, September 10.
