Bears top Indians 31-8 in Garland

The Bear River Bears got another win Friday night beating the Preston Indians 31-8. Preston moved the ball quite well on the ground but could not do so in the air.

Bear River did not turn over the ball in the game, and was charged with only one penalty.  But the biggest difference, and probably the biggest reason to the Bears’ explosion, came from the Bears’ passing game throwing for 224 passing yards in the 2nd half.

Preston got the first points on the board by way of a Bears safety. But after a Preston TD in the 2nd quarter the Bears went on to score 31 unanswered points.

Bear River will now turn their focus to their bitter rival as they travel to Brigham City to face the Box Elder Bees. Box Elder dominated the Bears last year in Garland 42-0, so there is revenge on the Bears’ minds. Can they continue this offensive surge? Find out next Friday night at 7 pm.  Action will be on 104.9 FM in Box Elder County and streaming online at
